Last May when I was on a weekend trip to Antwerp, I've visited the MoMu: a really must-see if you love fashion and textiles.
The last time I went was already some years ago, so it was about time to soak up some fashion history.
There was a very interesting exhibition about printed textiles from world famous Swiss firm Abraham. Abraham was a company specialized in printing silks. This exhibition tells the story of their succes during the 1950s and 1960s (working together with famous couturiers Dior, Givenchy, Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent) and shows lots of sample books, sketches, photographs, fine silks, screen printing process and much more. Also some famous contemporary designers (Dries van Noten for example) were invited to experiment with Abraham prints.
A must see! Runs till August 11th. More info here!
