ABOUT ME

My name is Tessa de Guytenaer, I am a Dutch freelance designer based in The Hague, close to the beach.

On a daily basis I enjoy working on textile and pattern designs, illustrations, collages, artwork, styling and many other cool stuff.

After graduating as a textile designer at the Royal Academy of Arts The Hague
(fashion & textile department),
I’ve been working on various creative projects.

Shortly after graduating I shared a studio space with good friend Amy Jadine van der Veer and we quickly realized we were sharing a lot of ideas, inspirations and ambitions. We decided to join forces and started AT.ELIER in early 2010.

With our collections Habitat and Wearables we created wonderful interior products and fashion accessories which were presented at the ‘Woonbeurs’ in 2011. We were surprised by the amount of international interest in our products by shop-owners, magazines, papers and blogs.

When working on product design for our own brand, I rediscovered my passion for textiles and print design and slowly started working on a brand new portfolio. After a few great years with AT.ELIER it was time to completely focus on my love for print and pattern design.

A steady textile design business was built next to my different freelance jobs. (assistant creative director for socially engaged lifestyle brand LADAK and product presentation at NIKE)

I focus on creating complete pattern collections or artwork based on a design brief. I can also provide visual concept developmentcolor separations and repeats.
Surface pattern design and creating visual concepts is what I love to do most and I am available for commissioned work and fun collaborations.

If you are interested to work with me, have any questions or just want to say hi, feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you.
