MOODBOARD / tropical

Right now I'm traveling in Indonesia for four weeks... I thought it would be cool to make a little tropical inspired moodboard this time :)

VISUAL JOURNAL / lately on instagram

What happened the first 4 months of this year? Can't believe it's May already.
> I went skiing for the first time in my life.... I loved it, (the fresh air, blue skies and winter sun in Italy were amazing!) but have also been pretty scared going down those steep slopes... thank god my boyfriend (who went snowboarding) was a great teacher!
>  I live close to the beach and often go for a quick coffee or sometimes even bring my laptop to work there. I do not have a garden so use the beach instead.
> Ate a lot of ice cream.
> Bought some new nice magazines to use for inspiration and making collages.
> Worked a LOT. Probably a bit too much. Also bought too many shoes ;)

MOODBOARD / color and shape research

Sometimes when I don't feel that inspired to start designing from scratch, I often start flipping through magazines, looking for interesting images. After cutting, ripping and mixing up, I try to combine the pieces in an unusual way to create a new and exciting moodboard which might lead to a new collection of prints or maybe just a single drawing.

HAPPY NEW YEAR / new website

Happy New Year to all of you! Hope you had a great end of the year, are you ready for 2014?
2013 has been good to me, but it was also very hectic and busy at times, especially the last couple of months. I would love to slow things down a bit and at the same time making more exciting trips! I have plans to travel a lot this year and hopefully I'll be able to fit this in my schedule :)

My new website launched last month and I'm very happy that I have an online space now which represents my work in a good way. I've been working on a few cool projects as well and hopefully I can show you some of these works soon. You can visit my website here >

Also I've been thinking a lot of where I want to take my business the coming year, and what goals I want to reach. It's good to think big, right? I do not have a specific plan yet, but I do have a few simple directives written down:
/ work more efficient, making daily and monthly lists AND stick to it. (this is really hard for me as I'm working on different jobs during the week)
/ start a monthly newsletter
/ using this blog more as an online sketchbook, sharing concepts, ideas and inspirational visuals.
/ get back in the weekend-pattern-collection habit, because it's just so fun and simple to do!
/ maybe integrate my blog and tumblr in my website, so everything is in one place.
/ I have so many ideas in my head of new collections, prints, personal projects and so on, and this year I really want to focus to try to work on all those ideas and not just think about them...
/ I would love to collaborate more with other brands/designers, just because it's fun to go outside your own bubble and get inspired by others.

I would love to hear your resolutions!
